What will you be doing?

Medical Education Meeting Planner is Responsible for Meeting Planning for Medical Education programs. Partners with Meeting Planners, Medical Education, Health Care Providers, vendors and internal functions to deliver high quality customer experience. Manages event planning and logistics including venue, AV/production, ground transportation, F&B planning, event management technology, attendee registration, pre/post event evaluations, and program budget management.

The role includes:

- Manage meeting planning logistics for Medical Education courses (2–100 attendees, larger symposia and virtual events)
- Oversee attendee experiences end-to-end
- Prepare and monitor event budgets; ensure timely vendor payments and reconciliation
- Work with Smith & Nephew Academy and HCP training sites; conduct site selection and contract negotiation for alternative venues
- Lead pre-event planning calls
- Ensure compliance with Code of Conduct and local laws regarding HCP interactions
- Leverage Meeting Management technology for attendee management and communications
- Manage Compliance reporting (aggregate spend, transparency)
- Tracks and processes all HCP changes (travel, hotel, cancellations)
- Provide reports: rooming, participants list, ground transportation, group air, F&B, translation, etc.

What will you need to be successful?


- 3–5+ years progressive experience in meeting planning, preferably in medical industry
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong background in hospitality and event management
- Travel required: 5–25% (domestic or international depending on geography)

- Detail-oriented, strong communication, time management, customer service, ability to work under pressure, flexible hours, independent judgment.
