Medical Escort & Transport (MET) Driver

The Medical Escort & Transport Driver provides safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation and escort support for clients travelling to and from medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare-related services.

Responsibilities: -

• Provide safe and timely transportation for clients to and from medical appointments.
• Assist clients with boarding, alighting, and mobility needs where required.
• Assist clients with wheelchairs, walking aids, and other mobility equipment.
• Plan travel routes and manage schedules to ensure punctual arrival.
• Conduct basic vehicle safety checks and maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Ensure proper handling and security of client belongings and documents.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, appointments, and incidents.
• Ensure clients are treated with dignity, patience, and respect.
• Communicate with families, healthcare providers, and relevant staff regarding transport arrangements.
• Follow organisational policies, road safety requirements, and confidentiality guidelines.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and seek medical assistance when required.

Requirements

• Valid driving license with a good driving record.
• Relevant experience as a medical transport driver, caregiver, healthcare assistant, or similar role is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of local roads and traffic conditions.
• Physically fit in order to assist clients with mobility needs.
• Patient, caring, responsible, and service oriented.
• Able to work independently and manage schedules effectively.
• Basic first-aid or CPR certification is an advantage.
