Medical Laboratory Scientist/ Technologist
Vernon Memorial Healthcare is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist/technologist to join our Laboratory Services team. This position functions as a Generalist, demonstrating full competency across laboratory departments and performing a broad scope of testing procedures for patients of all ages.

Position Responsibilities
- Perform and report a variety of laboratory analyses from multiple specimen sources.
- Function independently as a Generalist across laboratory departments.
- Maintain accuracy, quality, and timeliness of test results.
- Assist with laboratory quality improvement projects.
- Participate in operational support activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
- Adhere to all laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Education & Certifications

Education: Doctoral, Master's, or bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution; or have earned an associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
- Certification: ASCP certification preferred; CPR certification required
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant laboratory experience strongly preferred

Hours, Wage & Benefits
- Hours:
- 7 days on / 7 days off
- Primarily: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday: 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM Saturday and Sunday: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Rotating holidays required
