The successful candidate will provide hands-on laboratory instruction, demonstrations, and guidance to help students develop the practical skills and competencies required for medical laboratory assistant practice.
The initial assignment will involve teaching two courses in Agassiz, starting November 4, 2026, for approximately six weeks. The original schedule is Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. However, WCC is open to discussing flexible teaching days and hours, depending on the instructor’s availability. A minimum availability of two days per week may be considered, with adjusted daily hours or an extended teaching period to accommodate the required course hours.
A subsequent teaching assignment is anticipated at WCC’s Abbotsford Campus starting January 4, 2027.
MLT instructors are required for specific courses and laboratory sections within each MLA cohort, rather than for all courses in the program. Additional assignments may become available with future cohorts, depending on enrolment, course schedules, and program requirements.
