Location: Haddon Heights, NJ — primarily on-site, with some flexibility for hybrid arrangements depending on the candidate and specific circumstances.

Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey and have 2+ years of litigation experience, with at least 1 year of experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, general liability, or healthcare litigation strongly preferred. Job Description

  • Defend complex medical malpractice claims from inception through resolution.
  • Manage litigation matters, deadlines, case strategy, and day-to-day client needs.
  • Conduct legal research and develop persuasive litigation strategies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in discovery, depositions, negotiations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Analyze medical records, liability issues, damages, and case-related evidence.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other legal professionals.
  • Work independently while collaborating closely with experienced attorneys and the broader legal team.
  • Take initiative, think creatively, and identify practical solutions to challenging litigation issues.

Qualifications

  • New Jersey Bar admission required.
  • 2+ years of litigation experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, general liability, or healthcare litigation preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Strong judgment, initiative, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Pennsylvania Bar admission is preferred but not required.
