Location: Atlanta, Georgia. Our team generally works in the office, providing strong collaboration and access to experienced litigators, with hybrid flexibility negotiable based on experience and fit.
Note: Candidates must be admitted to the Georgia Bar and have at least 2+ years of relevant litigation experience. We are seeking an attorney capable of independently managing cases, developing litigation strategy, handling discovery and depositions, and moving matters toward resolution or trial. Direct medical malpractice defense experience is highly preferred.

Job Description
- Independently manage a caseload of medical malpractice and healthcare defense matters
- Develop case strategy from initial evaluation through settlement, dismissal, or trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and healthcare professionals
- Analyze medical records, expert opinions, damages, liability issues, and complex factual records
- Work directly with physicians, healthcare providers, insurers, experts, and other clients
- Attend hearings, mediations, court conferences, and other litigation proceedings
- Conduct legal research and develop persuasive arguments on substantive and procedural issues
- Collaborate with partners and other attorneys while maintaining independent ownership of assigned matters
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials when appropriate
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Bar license
- 2+ years of relevant litigation experience
- Ability to independently manage cases and competing deadlines
- Medical malpractice defense, healthcare litigation, or insurance defense experience strongly preferred
- Experience with depositions, discovery, motion practice, and case strategy
- Strong legal writing, analytical, communication, and client service skills
- Comfortable working directly with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and courts
- Trial preparation or courtroom experience is a plus
