Medical Manager Vaccines

Key Responsibilities:

The Vaccines Medical Manager is responsible for co-creating and implementing the medical and scientific (non-promotional) strategy for the vaccine portfolio or the relevant therapeutic area. The role works in close collaboration with functional franchise leads and ensures consistent alignment with the overarching franchise strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ability to work independently with a solution-oriented approach and confidence in navigating changing environments
  • In-depth expertise in the therapeutic area as well as comprehensive product knowledge, including relevant competitor data
  • Leading and executing an integrated evidence strategy at high speed, based on a sound understanding of internal and external stakeholder needs and a systematic analysis of data gaps
  • Building and maintaining close, collaborative relationships with commercial and cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Value & Access, and Health Economics
  • Building, maintaining, and further developing relationships with external experts (e.g., Key Opinion Leaders)
  • Promoting collaboration with "above-country" colleagues to ensure local integration and strategic co-creation of global and regional plans
  • Sound understanding of the developments, dynamics, and impacts of healthcare systems
  • Responsibility for the creation and implementation of medical plans
  • Ability to quickly grasp new scientific data and integrate it into new therapeutic areas
  • Development of innovative, relevant, and timely digital medical-scientific educational content with a focus on innovation
  • Initiating and managing projects to improve standards of care and further develop clinical practice

About You

Education / Experience / Qualifications:

  • Completed university degree in a scientific or medical field, e.g., Medicine (MD or equivalent), Pharmacy (licensure), PhD, or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Human Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology).
  • Industry experience (Medical Affairs – office-based or MSL) and/or clinical experience is mandatory, ideally with relevant experience in the field of vaccines
  • Sound understanding of the entire data generation cycle, including clinical development, Real World Evidence (RWE), and systematic analysis of evidence and data gaps
  • Ability to act independently with a solution-oriented, reflective approach when dealing with complex and ambiguous issues
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to confidently lead challenging discussions; ability to understand the communication preferences of Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and adapt communication style and channel selection accordingly
  • Implementation of scientific engagement concepts to promote sustainable interactions, collaborative cooperation, and high-quality scientific exchange
  • Proficient use of omnichannel tools as well as a strong willingness and ability to quickly adapt to new communication channels
  • Effective and compliant communication of unmet needs from Healthcare Professionals and their institutions to cross-functional teams to support a patient-centric strategy

The salary range for this position is :€79 104,00 - €105 472

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
