The Patient Services Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to assigned department(s) by facilitating effective communication, maintaining accurate records, and supporting daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery and a positive experience for patients, staff, and providers. The Patient Services Specialist is an onsite position.

Essential Functions

• Provide administrative and clerical support to assigned department(s) to support efficient and organized daily operations.
• Coordinate communication by answering phones, greeting patients and visitors, routing inquiries, and relaying messages accurately and timely.
• Prepare and maintain departmental documents, correspondence, records, files, and reports in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately complete patient scheduling /registration in electronic health record to support timely, compliant patient care and billing processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling patient, employee, and departmental information at all times.
• Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
• Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
