Job Description:
- Recognize and treat common medical problems using appropriate standard treatment guidelines
- Assist CMO with maintaining medical consultation clinics.
- Coordinate all specific disease clinical consultation programmes and activities including TB DOTS, HIV/STI/VCT/ART, Maternal and Child Health and Family Planning clinics.
- Assist with routine clinical care of inpatients in the clini
- Perform minor surgical and medical therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
- Organise and coordinate referrals for patient that require further treatment outside of Ramu.
- Participate in continuing medical education activities for the staff
- Assist CMO with administration activities when required
- Respond to medical emergencies in a timely manner when required.
- Be able to recognize and treat any life threatening problems early.
- Has adequate knowledge of Basic Life support and advance life support protocols.
- Be able to attend to labouring mothers and their babies initiate appropriate treatment..
- Competent with standard initial resuscitation and stabilization protocols.
- Recognise and appropriately treat various injuries from various causes.
