Summary
Part-time medical optometrist at a Houston eye care practice performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing visual conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing pre/post-operative patient care. Uses optometry instruments and maintains patient medical records.
Location: 12121 Richmond Ave, Suite 220 Houston, TX 77082 Some travel to our Sugar Land location as needed.
The Optometrist will work in a medical setting primarily responsible for increasing the care of our patients. This position may assist with pre-op and post-operative care. Optometrists perform eye exams and provide superior vision care to our patients.
- Exam patients having a full range of visual programs using a full field of optometry instruments and techniques
- Determines visual requirements for patients by prescribing corrective lenses, low vision aids, etc.
- Diagnoses visual diseases, disorders, and deficiencies by prescribing treating in accordance with state laws.
- Builds strong doctor-patient relationships
- Handles eye health emergencies
- Maintains updated and accurate medical records of all patients
