About the Role:

Excellent opportunity for a customer service superstar to join our small supportive team as a Medical Receptionist, the role will be based at our brand new, state-of-the-art Launceston clinic.

This permanent full-time position will be rostered Monday - Friday. Successful candidates must be available full-time to be considered.

As a medical receptionist you will be responsible for

  • Managing all phone enquiries in a timely, professional and confidential manner
  • Front of house reception / greeting patients upon arrival
  • Schedule appointments for patients and referrers
  • Issue patient invoices/receipts and process Medicare rebates as required
  • Enter and update patient registration details
  • Ensure the reception and waiting area is clean and presentable at all times

This is an outstanding opportunity for those who are eager to learn, driven, resilient and empathetic, whilst also possessing a strong customer service background.

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering Calls: Be the friendly, professional voice that patients and referrers hear.
  • Scheduling: Use our state-of-the-art RIS system - Visage
  • Maximising Efficiency: Keep things running smoothly by managing appointments.
  • Referrals: Action patient referrals from multi-disciplinary teams
  • Prepping Patients: Clear communication to patients informing them of preparation, costing estimates and other requirements.

About You:

  • Customer Focus: Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus!
  • Willingness to Learn: Ready to dive into medical imaging terminology.
  • Tech Savvy: Advanced computer and keyboard skills are a must.
  • Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional customer service every time.
  • People Skills: Show care, compassion, and empathy to our patients.
  • Problem-Solving: Optimise appointment slots with your analytical skills.
  • Time Management: Stay organized and meet team KPI's.
  • Positive Attitude: A "can-do" attitude that builds rapport with patients, staff, and professionals easily.
