We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist / Patient Services Representative to join our Carmel clinic. Position Summary

As the first point of contact for our patients, the Medical Receptionist / Patient Services Representative plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. This position is responsible for a variety of administrative duties including, but not limited to patient registration, check-in/check-out, payment collection, data entry, and providing outstanding customer service while supporting the daily operations of our orthopedic and sports medicine clinic.

Essential Functions

• Greet patients and visitors in a caring manner
• provide directions, answers questions, and meet a variety of customer service needs
• register patients in, check in/check out, accurately collect co-pays, obtain patient referral information, send/receive fax information as needed
• data entry into the practice management software program(s)
• maintain excellent working relationships with all physicians, rehab providers, management, staff of internal and external departments
• prepare batches and reconcile patient payments

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical office environment

• Strong computer proficiency with experience navigating multiple software applications and systems

Education & Experience

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• Associate degree in a healthcare-related field
• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, Patient Services Representative, Front Desk Coordinator, Medical Office Assistant, or Healthcare Customer Service Representative
• Experience in an orthopedic, sports medicine, physical therapy, or other healthcare setting

Travel

• Occasional travel between Forté office locations (Greenwood, Noblesville, Mooresville, Tipton) may be required.
