About the Department
Location: Hearth Rhythm Institute - Roseville 25195 Kelly Rd Suite A Roseville, MI 48066
From the Hiring manager: Medical office reception/front desk experience required. Epic experience preferred. Ability to travel to time share location 1-2 afternoons per week.
Shift: Days 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. No weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works in a customer service capacity providing administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting.
Greets patients and visitors, checks patients in and out, and obtains necessary documentation.
Verifies and enters demographic information.
Obtains and verifies insurance authorizations/precertification. Completes medical record release requests and schedules/confirms patient appointments.
Enters, reviews and submits charges for patient procedures and services daily.
Collects co-payments and reconciles all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
Provides general office and clerical support to assigned area.

You will work under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support the healthcare team. What You Will Do
- Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients.
- Measure and record vital signs, contributing to patient assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and readiness.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, facilitating efficient and effective care.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of related experience.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. At least one (1) year of related experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred. Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred. Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation.
