Medical Support Assistant

About the Position: This is a Medical Support Assistant position located at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Maintain a close working relationship with wards and clinics and their primary supervisors or medical officials to assist them in assuring appropriate quality of admissions.

Assess eligibility of admitted service members, dependents, retirees, local and national political leaders, judges, and Veterans.

Provide advisory services to management on admissions and transfer procedures.

Assist in the pulling of medical records for monthly external reviews.

Coordinate incoming transfers from other facilities, ensuring bed on applicable ward.
