Role Overview

The Local Delivery & Medical Support Personnel is responsible for the safe and timely delivery, collection, setup, and handling of medical monitoring devices and related equipment at patient locations and/or healthcare facilities.

The role includes assisting with the placement of company-approved monitoring devices on patients in accordance with established protocols, ensuring devices are functioning correctly, retrieving devices after use, and uploading collected data securely to the company’s designated corporate cloud platform.

The position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, respect for patient privacy, and strict adherence to company procedures, infection-control requirements, and applicable healthcare and data-protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Local Delivery & Collection

  • Deliver medical devices, accessories, consumables, and documentation to patients, clinics, hospitals, or other designated locations.

  • Verify delivery details and ensure the correct equipment is provided to the correct patient or healthcare facility.

  • Collect monitoring devices and associated equipment following completion of the monitoring period.

  • Inspect returned equipment for damage, missing components, or contamination and report discrepancies promptly.

  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, equipment serial numbers, and device status.

  • Manage transportation and storage of equipment in accordance with company procedures.

2. Patient Device Placement & Setup

  • Attend patient appointments or designated locations to assist with the setup and placement of company-approved medical monitoring devices.

  • Confirm patient identity and relevant appointment/device information in accordance with approved procedures.

  • Explain the device setup and basic operating instructions to the patient in a clear and professional manner.

  • Position and attach the device/sensors to the patient according to approved manufacturer instructions, company protocols, and training.

  • Check that the device is securely positioned and operating as expected before leaving the patient.

  • Provide basic troubleshooting and escalate technical or patient-related issues when they fall outside the scope of the role.

  • Remove the device after the monitoring period, where removal is within the approved scope of training and procedure.

  • Do not independently diagnose, interpret clinical results, change treatment, or provide medical advice outside the authorised scope of the position.

3. Patient & Customer Service

  • Interact with patients, caregivers, clinicians, and healthcare-facility personnel in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality during all interactions.

  • Communicate appointment timing, device instructions, collection arrangements, and relevant operational information clearly.

  • Escalate patient concerns, adverse events, or unexpected situations through the designated reporting channels.

4. Compliance, Safety & Documentation

  • Follow all applicable company policies, device-specific procedures, infection-control requirements, workplace-safety procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations.

  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.

  • Maintain appropriate records of patient visits, device deployment/removal, equipment condition, and data transfer.

  • Complete required training and competency assessments before independently performing patient-facing device procedures.

  • Immediately report incidents, near misses, privacy/data-security concerns, device failures, or patient safety concerns.

Scope & Limitations of the Role

The position is primarily operational and technical in nature. Patient-facing activities must be limited to procedures for which the employee has received appropriate training and competency sign-off.

The role does not include independent clinical diagnosis, interpretation of medical results, treatment decisions, medication advice, or other regulated clinical activities unless specifically authorised by the company and permitted by applicable law and professional requirements.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily field-based.

  • Regular travel between patient homes, clinics, hospitals, and company locations may be required.

  • Require handling and transportation of small medical device.
