MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (BLOOD BANKING)

About the Position: This position is located at Army Madigan Medical Center's Blood Donor Center in Tacoma, Washington. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Responsible for scheduling follow-up appointments for existing donors

Responsible for assisting the donor recruiter with daily tasks to find, contact, and sign-up new donors.

Perform follow-up care for donors displaying reactions.

Ensure supplies inventory is maintained, report any inventory needs to the supply tech or supervisor

Perform all required equipment maintenance and calibration on a variety of Blood Donor Center equipment.

Prepare specimens for shipment to testing laboratories.
