Enters tissue demographics, specimen information, and applicable charges into the billing system.
Verifies patient and specimen details to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
Assists with routing completed reports to clients on a daily basis.
Answers telephone queries, provides appropriate assistance, and resolves documentation or report-related issues.
Communicates with pathologists to clarify unclear dictations and resolve discrepancies.
Maintains a retrievable, organized, and logical system for permanent record management.
Utilizes electronic health records (EHR), laboratory information systems (LIS), and other applicable systems for document management.
Ensures reports comply with organizational policies, medical documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
Supports quality assurance initiatives by identifying errors and contributing to workflow improvements.
Performs other tasks, projects, and assignments as directed by the supervisor.
