What You’ll Do
As a Medication Technician, you play a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities include:
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor, document, and report changes in resident condition
- Review physician orders and coordinate follow-up care
- Support caregivers by providing clear direction on resident care needs
- Assist in coordinating medical appointments and care services
- Collaborate with Home Health and Hospice providers
- Help maintain a calm, safe environment while minimizing unnecessary hospital transfers
- Ensure proper inventory and ordering of clinical supplies
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
Leadership & Team Support
- Provide guidance and oversight to caregivers during your shift
- Assist with shift assignments and coverage needs
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Partner with nursing leadership on care quality and performance
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Medication Technician in Assisted Living or Memory Care
- Strong knowledge of medication administration and documentation
- Experience working with elderly residents in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and responsive during overnight shifts
- A compassionate, professional approach to resident care
