Medior - Senior Data Engineer - internal role - permanent contract

We are looking for a motivated Data Engineer for this renowned international company in Tienen.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining data architecture and pipelines
• Ensuring an efficient data flow across various systems to support colleagues such as data scientists, data analysts, business analysts, etc.
• Automating data input, transformation, and storage workflows
• Data processing/orchestration (using Apache Spark & Airflow)
• Ensuring an excellent data quality standard so that all data is accurate and complete
• Monitoring and optimization

Who are you?

• You preferably have at least 3 years of experience in a data-driven role (data engineer, data scientist, or similar) and hold a relevant (data-driven) degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD)
• Excellent knowledge of Azure (Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Storage Gen2, Fabric, etc.), SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ETL, Airflow, etc., as well as a strong command of programming languages such as Python and SQL
• You can explain complex technical concepts clearly and simply to non-technical users
