Member of Legal, Brokerage and Trading Solutions

You will serve as Legal Counsel for Trading Solutions, partnering from product discovery through launch to provide strategic legal guidance, conduct regulatory research, establish policies, and ensure compliance across crypto trading venues, prime brokers, custodians, and payment rails. You will structure, draft, and negotiate electronic trading, derivatives, financing, prime brokerage, collateral, margin, loan, settlement, ISDA, confirmation, disclosure, and risk-factor agreements. You will advise executive leadership on regulatory frameworks, reputational risks, and compliance obligations, manage external counsel, develop contract templates and playbooks, support staff training, and communicate legal issues to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal guidance from product discovery through launch
• Conduct regulatory research and ensure compliance across market infrastructure
• Structure, draft, and negotiate counterparty agreements
• Advise executive leadership on regulatory frameworks, reputational risks, and compliance obligations
• Coordinate internal teams and manage external counsel
• Develop and manage contract templates
• Partner with Compliance to develop guidelines, policies, procedures, playbooks, and staff training
• Lead medium-to-large projects and processes
• Convey relevant legal issues to internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with trading solutions, legal, and compliance teams to resolve legal issues and improve efficiency

Requirements

• Strong understanding of laws and regulations applicable to spot, margin, derivatives, platform trading, and prime brokerage for digital assets
• Experience creating, drafting, and negotiating digital asset trading, prime brokerage, collateral, margin, loan, settlement, ISDA, confirmation, disclosure, and risk-factor agreements
• Strong understanding of crypto trading venues, prime brokers, custodians, and payment rails
• 8+ years of transactional experience reviewing financial transaction agreements, primarily lending agreements, prime brokerage agreements, ISDA/CSA, and trade confirmations
• Understanding of existing and proposed regulatory frameworks for digital asset business models
• Ability to apply traditional financial legal concepts to digital asset business needs
• JD preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients and cross-functional teams
