Member of Technical Staff, Agent Platform
Summary
Own the AI stack end to end on an applied AI team building an agent platform for a fintech product: general-purpose and ambient agents, LLM orchestration, generative UI, evaluation, and memory systems for advisors and clients. On-site in NYC; Python/TypeScript/React and LLM/RAG experience required.
About the Role
Join the applied AI team building an agent platform for a financial technology product. You will own the AI stack end to end, creating reliable agents that help advisors and clients manage complex workflows.
What You'll Do
Build general-purpose agents that plan and complete multi-step tasks using tools, code execution, web search, and retrieval.
Develop ambient agents that triage email, process meetings, draft communications, and surface timely follow-ups.
Design the orchestration layer that brings together language models, context, tools, retrieval, and business logic.
Create generative user interfaces and human-in-the-loop workflows that support collaboration between advisors and agents.
Build evaluation infrastructure for both precise financial data tasks and judgment-heavy AI outputs.
Develop memory systems that retrieve relevant client context and adapt to advisor preferences over time.
What We're Looking For
Four to ten years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, including production AI agent systems.
Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration, tool use, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, and agent frameworks.
Strong software engineering fundamentals in APIs, data modeling, and system design.
Experience delivering and maintaining high-quality AI outputs in production and building evaluation infrastructure for non-deterministic systems.
Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, React, vector databases, and LLM technologies.
Experience at a high-growth startup or a strong technical background at a top-tier organization; demonstrated career progression is valued.
Experience with generative UI or human-in-the-loop interfaces is helpful.
