Responsibilities
- Design ingestion and orchestration patterns for batch and streaming workloads
- Build scalable compute and storage foundations for large-scale data processing
- Ensure reproducible pipelines through versioning, backfills, and isolated execution environments
- Provide data quality, lineage, and governance signals
- Manage cost and performance through guardrails, budgets, and system tuning
- Build a unified data layer for research, training, and production
Requirements
- Data engineering experience delivering production-grade pipelines at scale
- Experience designing and owning end-to-end data systems
- Experience with large-scale batch and streaming workloads
- Ability to debug pipeline failures and optimize cost and performance
- Data quality experience
- Cross-functional communication skills
