Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated BMC Firmware Engineer to join our server management firmware development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining BMC firmware for enterprise and data center server platforms, working closely with hardware, BIOS, system validation, and customer teams.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, debug and maintain AMI BMC codebase for AMD platforms and also maintain AMD platforms.
Collaborate with the other team to work out the feature problems on webui, IPMI, FW update, linux kernel/driver and the other platform features.
Utilize C/C++ and linux develop and maintain AMI BMC features for AMD platform
Find out a solution for BMC FW issues, like platform power on, Sensor porting, kernel/driver, fan control, FW update.
Collaborate with BIOS team to analyze platform host issues and BMC feature issues.
Update Technology documents of AMD platform
Support customer requirements and provide suggestions for the requirements to customers
Develop AMD-specific platform features. APML, ADDC, Remote debug and Power cap.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
1+ year of software or firmware development experience
Experience in Linux, Driver, Server Firmware, Embedded System.
Familiarity with IPMI, I2C, I3C and platform sensors
Good understanding of server hardware
Experience with firmware debugging and root-cause analusis
Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with OpenBmc, SPX BMC
Experience with AMD platform development
Experience with aspeed ast 2600 and 2700
Experience with D-Bus operation, Kernel and Driver
Experience with AMD platform

What You Will Work On:
The engineer will work on the AMD platforms. Develop OncTree and SPX BMC features and maintain BMC codebase. The role provides opportunities to work across BIOS, IPMI, Redfish, Webui, Kernel, FW update, Sensor, MCTP, RAID card.
