Member of Technical Staff LLM Development

You will take ownership of one or more areas of LLM development, such as a capability domain or technical component. You will define goals and benchmarks, build training data, test and improve training methods with small-scale models, and apply successful approaches to large-scale models. You will form hypotheses, implement and validate solutions, and lead work within your area.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more areas of LLM development
• Define domain goals and select or build benchmarks
• Build training data for agentic mid-training, SFT, and RL
• Validate and improve data and training methods using small-scale models
• Apply data and training recipes to large-scale models and iterate
• Form hypotheses, implement solutions, validate results, and improve outcomes

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of practical machine learning or deep learning experience
• Experience designing, running, and debugging multi-GPU machine learning jobs in a shared compute environment
• Ability to break ambiguous problems into testable hypotheses and design decision-oriented experiments
• Business-level Japanese
