Member of Technical Staff — Platform Engineering

You’ll build the platform that brings our research into production, making Remanence easy to deploy and operate in customer clouds and on-premises.

What you'll work on

• Build deployment tooling for our training, evaluation and inference systems.

• Automate installations, upgrades and rollbacks.

• Make deployments work within customers’ security and access requirements.

• Build monitoring and diagnostics for systems we cannot access directly.

• Work with researchers on sandboxing and distributed workload orchestration.

• Support customer deployments and turn recurring needs into reusable tooling.

Relevant technologies

• Deployment and automation: Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD or Flux

• Infrastructure and security: Linux, Docker, networking, access controls, secrets management

• Backend and distributed systems: Python or Go, Ray, Slurm, distributed object storage, PostgreSQL

• Releases and monitoring: GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry

• Required: Production experience with Kubernetes and Terraform

About you

You have strong software engineering and systems fundamentals. You’ve used Kubernetes and Terraform in production. You’re comfortable debugging applications, infrastructure and networks. You make sound engineering decisions and care about reliability.
Experience with ML infrastructure or enterprise deployments is a plus. We welcome both specialists and fast-learning generalists.
