Mental Health Support Specialist (Burnsville, MN) (Weekend Morning Shift)

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking part-time Mental Health Support Specialist to give care & support to our clients at our Residential Programs.

Schedule: Part-Time | Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00am - 3:30pm (Morning Shift)
Locations: Colonial House (13601 W 137th Place, Burnsville, MN)
Hiring Bonus: $1,000 hiring bonus for external candidates
Hiring Range: $20.50 / Hourly

*Shift differential of $1/ hour working between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM

*Shift differential of $1/ hour working between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM

Main Job Duties:

• Must have physical presence onsite.
• Document interactions with clients into organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and if applicable, program-specific documentation/record-keeping system, while providing clear and concise communication with client, staff and other applicable parties.
• Effectively interact and exhibit behavior that is consistent with customer service and professional standards established by the organizational, division and program.
• Responsible for medication administration in accordance with organization and program policies and procedures.
• Using person-centered principles, actively engage with clients in their daily activities, and develop and maintain appropriate relationships that support the client in meeting their individual goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional responses while prioritizing client and program safety.
• Independent Living Skills, teaching and/or coaching, as it relates to the individual’s goal and/or treatment plans.
• Full-time staff are part of an on-call rotation
• Attend mandatory team meetings.
