MEP DESIGN MANAGER

Job Summary

The MEP Design Manager will lead and review Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) design and technical coordination for major construction and luxury interior fit-out projects. The role will coordinate between clients, consultants, design teams and site teams to deliver optimised, cost-effective and technically compliant MEP packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and review HVAC, plumbing, drainage, electrical, ELV and firefighting designs.
  
• Coordinate MEP layouts with architectural, interior design, structural and fit-out teams.
  
• Ensure designs comply with Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA and other authority requirements.
  
• Review and approve drawings, SLDs, load calculations, BOQs and technical specifications.
  
• Review contractor submittals and support value engineering and cost optimisation.
  
• Lead and mentor MEP design engineers and CAD/BIM team members.
  
• Monitor design schedules and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  
• Minimum 8+ years of MEP design experience, with 3–5 years in a managerial/team lead role within the GCC.
  
• Strong experience in construction and luxury interior fit-out projects.
  
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD MEP, Revit and Navisworks.
  
• Experience with HVAC load calculation software such as HAP / TRACE 700.
  
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and authority requirements.
  
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA and NEC standards.
  
• Strong leadership, technical coordination and communication skills.
