Description

Review tender design drawings, specifications, BOQ, etc.
Responsible for providing complete quantity take-off and comparing with tender quantities
Sending enquiries and obtaining prices, analyse prices, prepare material and labour cost estimation, and prepare bids.
Preparation of List of Technical Queries for Consultant clarification.
Preparation of Project Risk Analysis report.
Attend pre-bid meetings with clients or consultants.
Define more cost-efficient alternatives to the proposed scope of the project and meet the client Budget.
Coordination with other staff to ensure that tender deadlines, procedures, and project requirements are met.
Comprehension of local authority requirements and international standards.
Coordinating with procurement and providing necessary technical support.
Understand the complete needs of the project materials & methods for installation.
Choose the best-suited suppliers to execute the jobs by analyzing their capacities and technical expertise.
Negotiate sales agreement/SCA and obtain the best possible cost and time advantages for the Client.
Manage the supplier's performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and responsibilities.
Launch improvement programme to eliminate waste and variability in the supply chain.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related field
Computer skills – MS office and Auto CAD
Minimum experience – 8+ years as Estimator
Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to talk to clients
