This role reports into the Director of Merchandise Planning and works closely with cross-functional partners across merchandising, supply chain, and web. The Merchandise Planner will support weekly business reporting, inventory and preorder tracking, Amazon allocation, and promotion management, while building deep, hands-on experience across a multi-channel business. We're looking for a planner who thrives with autonomy and sound judgment, confidently owning day-to-day execution across reporting, inventory tracking, promotional management, and allocation.

Key Responsibilities
Weekly Reporting & Business Analysis
  • Prepare and distribute weekly business reporting, summarizing sales, inventory, and channel performance
  • Analyze trends, seasonality, and performance drivers to support broader business decisions
  • Partner with the Director of Merchandise Planning to surface risks and opportunities found in the data
Inventory & Preorder Tracking
  • Monitor inventory health across assigned channels, identifying and acting on stockout and excess risk
  • Track preorder SKU’s, inventory and on order to execute changes with the site team for high demand products
  • Partner with supply chain and operations teams on production, replenishment, and lead-time tracking
Amazon Allocation
  • Manage inventory allocation to Amazon, balancing availability against demand and lead times
Promotion Management
  • Help decide pricing and assortment selection alongside merch for seasonal promotions and regular markdowns
  • Monitor in-flight promotions and report on performance against goals
Hindsight Reporting & Ad Hoc Sales Analysis
  • Prepare post-season/post-promotion hindsight reporting to inform future planning decisions
  • Analyze historical sales, trends, and market dynamics to answer ad hoc business questions
  • Identify and flag opportunities for process or reporting improvements
Systems & Tools
  • Use existing planning tools and reporting workflows to maintain accurate, up-to-date reporting
  • Structure and reconcile data from multiple systems/exports into a clean, reliable source
  • Stay curious about emerging AI-enabled planning and reporting tools, identifying manual processes worth automating
Merchandising Support
  • Support assortment planning such as sku productivity analysis and seasonal hindsight work as needed, partnering with the merchandising team

Qualifications
  • 2–4+ years of experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, inventory management, business analysis, or a related analytical role, ideally within DTC ecomm, retail, fashion, accessories, lifestyle, jewelry, or consumer brands
  • Experience in multi-channel environments (DTC, Amazon/marketplaces, and/or wholesale) preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills — comfortable building and maintaining complex formulas (e.g., INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, nested logic), pivot tables, and models, not just using them
  • Solid working knowledge of inventory tracking, reporting, and promotional/markdown management processes
  • Strong focus on execution with the ability to independently manage detailed, recurring analytical work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and sound judgment
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders (e.g., VP/SVP-level) a plus
  • Familiarity with Looker or similar BI tools a plus
