Farfetch Merchandise Planning & Analytics Senior Analyst
Within the Merchandising function the Merch Planning & Analytics team owns the planning and the analytics of some of the key supply partners on the marketplace. The goal is to maximise their business on Farfetch by simultaneously contributing to drive total platform topline sales.
Merch Planning & Analytics (MP&A) is involved in:

End to end seasonal management of 3P channels on the marketplace.

Pre-season analytics driving supply optimization on our key brands and boutiques.

Commercial business planning including annual forecasts, scenario modelling and stretch targets to grow the business.

In season monitoring and analysis of sales performance to forecast for external and internal trade purposes.
The team is working closely with other teams within commercial (Brand Managers, Boutique Account Managers, Business Development, Commercial Trading, Commercial Planning, Pricing) and with colleagues from BI, Marketing, Operations and catalogue management to build repeatable, scalable tools and processes and drive continual improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Analytics
-
Pre-season: Analysing the prior season’s trade, identifying areas of success and opportunities as lessons learned for the next season, to share with the brand/boutique to support their seasonal planning and secure optimal supply for the Farfetch customer.

In-season: analyse brand’s trade at a region, category, customer, product level to provide action-driven performance insights to identify opportunities for maximising sales.

Support Farfetch commercial trade meetings by supplying relevant insights and updates on brand and category performance.

Develop dashboards and automated reports (working with our BI team) to keep track of sales and stock performances at different levels (brand, category, regions..)

Support strategic initiatives such as our next day delivery program, guiding brands on the right products for the program.
Planning

Support the Business Plan process: you will provide annual forecasts and stretch levers to reach and exceed sales targets, using excel models and other analytical techniques. Your forecasts will also support internal financial planning and budgeting processes.

Develop tracking tools to be able to understand our sales position vs projection and influence dedicated actions to be taken accordingly.

Provide recommendations for OTB planning for specific brand partners and boutiques

Monitor stock to make sure is in line to reach targets and unlock constraints

Provide ideal assortment sizes and quality for key initiatives such as exclusive capsules, next day delivery and other strategic initiatives, incorporating unconstrained demand, pricing scenarios and channel dynamics.
WHO YOU ARE
-
Experience working in merchandise Seasonal Demand & Supply Planning and Analytics or Consulting, ideally in the industry.

You have great understanding and knowledge of the fashion and luxury industry.

Excellent planning, analytics, organisational and quantitative problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.

Experience in forecasting sales using excel modelling techniques.

Strategic thinker with an emphasis on operational and commercial excellence, with a focus on actionable insights.

You have a flexible, approachable attitude with good problem-solving skills

Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and scoping work focus

Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, translating complex analytical findings into presentable formats for cross functional sharing (e.g powerful powerpoint slides).

You have technical skills for processing and analysing large amounts of data e.g Advanced Excel (required) and SQL (preferred but not essential), experience with a BI Platform for data extraction and visualisation e.g. Power BI, Looker or similar, experience with Powerpoint
