Merchandising Executive

Job Summary

You will support the end-to-end development of licensed merchandise across Asia, driving new product launches and enabling key commercial decisions through coordination, analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate new merchandise development projects by managing timelines and communication with external manufacturing partners and licensees
  • Manage internal product approval and supervision processes by collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and quality
  • Evaluate product pricing, business feasibility, and profitability using financial models to support commercial decision-making
  • Assist in estimating product demand and preparing sales forecasts in partnership with internal teams and OEM partners
  • Monitor market trends and product performance to support and refine the overall merchandising strategy
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentation materials for management review to inform strategic planning

Required competencies and certifications

  • Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese (written and spoken) to communicate effectively with international stakeholders
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including coordinating timelines and tracking progress across multiple parties
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint in a business context for data analysis and presentations
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple deadlines efficiently

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in merchandising, consumer products, licensing, FMCG, OEM manufacturing, or operating e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Amazon, or Shopify
