The 2027 Ulta Beauty Internship is a structured 10-week program designed to develop future talent and provide interns with a unique and impactful development experience. This program is tailored for rising college Juniors and Seniors, offering Corporate, Field, and Distribution Center internship tracks. The internship will be hybrid for Corporate interns and in-person for Distribution Center and Field interns. Interns will gain hands-on experience in Ulta Beauty’s operations while contributing to business needs, engaging in meaningful projects, and broadening their professional development. The internship program provides real-world experience directly related to the academic discipline and career goals, offering a better understanding of career options.

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an intern, you will contribute to achieving the following goals:

• Brand Management:
  • Support lead merchant on all things pertaining to merchant/brand partner relationship
  • Attend status calls with brands
  • Develop Ulta-specific strategies to differentiate brands’ presence in the market
  • Prepare for market meetings
• Sales Reporting:
  • Assist lead merchant with weekly reporting needs
  • Analyze beauty category data to make informed business decisions
  • Review key Ulta Beauty success metrics (productivity, turn, sales, etc.) and work collaboratively with the merchant team to make improvements
• In-Store Merchandising:
  • Collaborate creatively on in-store secondary presentation plans in conjunction with merchant team
  • Coordinate sample turn-in
  • Support lead merchant on all things planograms including space allocation, new item review, and shelf strip proofing
• Digital Support:
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand online-only assortments, enhancing digital guest experience.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase online sales penetration through mobile app initiatives, subscription/replenishment programs, and product sampling opportunities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a degree in Merchandising (Retail or Fashion), Retail Management, Business or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Additional skills: attention to detail, effective planning and prioritizing skills, exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with various levels of leadership
• Collaboration: strong partnership with internal partners, understands that success is done by a team of people

REQUIREMENTS:

• Intern must be local to Bolingbrook, IL to attend corporate weeks.
• Must be a rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate university in the summer of 2027.
• Previous work experience and active involvement with on-campus organizations or activities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $0.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
