MES / SAP PP Integration Designer
Summary
Designs and configures MES/SAP PP integrations for manufacturing workflows, including production planning, shopfloor execution, and system testing.
Overall Mission
We are hiring a hands-on MES / SAP PP Integration Designer for Singapore.
The role requires MES / Manufacturing Execution experience with SAP PP integration exposure.
The candidate will support requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, integration testing, UAT, cutover, go-live and post-go-live support. TrackSys experience is good to have, but not mandatory.
The candidate should also be open to learning and supporting the current internal MES system, CMS / LCMS, before the new MES implementation starts.
Main Responsibilities
- Understand manufacturing business processes and provide support for MES / Manufacturing Execution related activities.
- Work with factory users, key users and IT teams to gather and formalize business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional designs, specifications, process flows and solution documentation.
- Support MES configuration, functional design, system enhancement and integration-related activities.
- Work on MES and SAP PP integration areas, including production planning, production orders, shopfloor execution and related manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with developers, technical teams, solution architects and external vendors for solution build and issue resolution.
- Support integration testing, regression testing, defect tracking and resolution.
- Prepare, coordinate and support UAT with business users.
- Support cutover, go-live and post-go-live support activities.
- Provide business and application support for CMS / LCMS and its ecosystem.
- Analyze recurring issues, perform root cause analysis and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain user guides, functional specifications, process documents and support documentation.
- Facilitate user training, adoption and handover to application support teams.
- Monitor support issues and ensure resolution as per agreed service objectives.
- Support product backlog, change requests and enhancement discussions where required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in MES / Manufacturing Execution systems.
- Hands-on experience in MES implementation, support or enhancement projects.
- Experience with SAP PP integration with MES / Manufacturing Execution systems.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, shopfloor execution and production planning.
- Experience in SDLC activities including requirements gathering, design, configuration, integration testing, UAT, cutover and go-live support.
- Experience working with factory users, business stakeholders, IT teams and vendors.
- Experience in application support environments using ITIL, ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP PP, production orders, BOM, routing, work centres, confirmations and related manufacturing integration points.
- TrackSys MES experience is good to have, but not mandatory.
- Experience with SAP ME / MII, SAP Digital Manufacturing, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell, Werum PAS-X, Syncade, MPDV HYDRA, GE Proficy, AVEVA MES or other MES platforms will be considered.
- Basic technical understanding of interfaces, web services, middleware, SQL, data flows and system integration.
- Oracle SQL knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban or iterative delivery methodology is preferred.
- Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on designer / functional consultant role.
- Willing to learn and support the company’s internal CMS / LCMS system before the new MES implementation begins.
Preferred Skills
- SAP PP / MES integration experience.
- MES configuration and functional design experience.
- UAT, user training, rollout and hypercare experience.
- Manufacturing domain experience in food, flavour, fragrance, chemicals, pharma, life sciences, FMCG, electronics or industrial manufacturing.
- Knowledge of interface technologies such as web services, webMethods, Kafka or similar tools.
- Experience in user workshops, process mapping, user journey mapping or solution prototyping.
- Agile certification or ITIL certification will be an advantage.
