MES System Administrator
Summary
Develops, integrates, and maintains the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for an architectural glass manufacturer — building MES-ERP integrations, supporting automated glass storage/handling systems, and managing MES servers. Core stack: C#/.NET Core with SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.
Salary: RM 4,500 – RM 6,500 per month
About the Role
A leading architectural glass manufacturer in Malaysia, part of a global integrated glass group with operations across Southeast Asia and China is looking for a skilled MES System Administrator to join the Production team.
This is a hands-on technical role where you will be responsible for the development, integration, and ongoing maintenance of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform.
Key Responsibilities
1. MES Platform Development
- Lead the development, requirements analysis, and business logic design of the MES platform for manufacturing equipment data acquisition.
2. MES-ERP Integration
- Develop MES-ERP (PM) software modules and carry out secondary development in accordance with project schedules and functional requirements.
3. Automated System Integration
- Perform unit testing, deployment, implementation, and system integration for the automated raw glass storage and handling system.
4. MES Data System Maintenance
- Maintain and support the company's automated connection pipelines and MES data systems to ensure continuous and reliable operation.
5. MES-ERP System Maintenance
- Handle day-to-day operational maintenance of the integrated MES-ERP system.
6. Server Management
- Conduct regular inspection, maintenance, and management of MES and MES-ERP servers.
7. Additional Duties
- Support and complete other tasks as assigned by superiors.
Requirements
Education - Diploma or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience - Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience. Candidates with hands-on experience in MES, ERP, WMS, or equipment-integration system development are strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in C# with in-depth knowledge of .NET Core
- Strong understanding of multi-layer architecture and common design patterns; capable of producing scalable code architecture
- Experienced in multi-threaded development
- Able to use SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle for program development
- Familiarity with IT-related national policies, laws, and regulations
- Able to independently perform information computing module work and guide team members when required
