Position Overview

We are looking for a Metal cutting operator for the Semiconductor, Aerospace & Defense industry, specifically with raw materials such as aluminum, steel, titanium, nickel alloys, bars, plates, rods, and sheets. The ideal candidate should have handson experience in cutting raw materials and in quality inspection, understanding of material certifications, and familiarity with industry standards.

Educational Qualification

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

1. 1–3 years of experience in metal cutting and quality inspection , preferably in the aerospace or metal/raw materials industry.
candidates with no experience may apply as well .

Job Responsibilities

1. Cut steel, aluminum, and other metals according to customer orders.

2. Operate band saws, cold saws, and other cutting equipment.

3. Read cutting lists and basic engineering drawings.

4. Measure materials accurately.

5. Load and unload materials safely.

6. Assist with packing and warehouse duties.

7. Maintain machinery and keep the work area clean.

Requirements

1. Experience with industrial saws is advantage

2 .Able to read measuring tapes accurately.

3. Conduct inspection of aerospace-grade raw materials as per industry and customer

4.Perform supplier qualification and approval processes.

5.Verify mill test reports (MTRs) against AMS and ASTM standards.

6. Release Certificates of Conformance (CoC) based on material readiness and customer

purchase orders.

7. Perform final inspection and dispatch inspection in accordance with customer specifications.

8. Ensure complete traceability and proper identification of materials throughout the process.

9. Ensure all purchases comply with the approved vendor list and purchase order requirements.

10.Use precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipees, micrometers, feeler gauges, measuring tapes, etc.

11.Prepare and maintain inspection reports and other quality documentation.

12 .Ensure compliance with AS9120, AS9100, and ISO 9001 quality management standards.

13.Physically fit.

14.Safety-conscious.

15.Apply knowledge of FOD (Foreign Object Debris/Damage) prevention processes and counterfeit material prevention procedures.

16. Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve quality issues and maintain quality standards.

17. Forklift license is an advantage

Required Skills

1. Good understanding of Semiconductor & aerospace material specifications and quality requirements.

2. Knowledge of AS9120, AS9100, and ISO 9001 standards is an advantage

3. Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments.

4. Strong communication skills in English.

5. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.

6. Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and inspection discipline.

Salary Range

Competitive, based on experience.
