We are looking for proven Metal Finishers/Shop Apprentices to join our team and contribute to the creation of our quality products.


Job Summary:
This role is responsible for basic smoothing, shaping, and finishing metal products using grinding equipment. The Metal Finisher will be expected to maintain a high standard for finished products, as their work will flow into the production process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating grinding machinery to perform
    several duties, including removing excess material and smoothing rough edges of our
    metal products.
  • Inspecting metal pieces for defects, unfinished edges,
    and damaged parts.
  • Adjusting machine settings to control speed, feed, and depth of cut to achieve desired finish.
  • Evaluating, maintaining and replacing grinding wheels and other parts of the machinery.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and instructions as it pertains to the production of work.
  • General up-keep of working area, ensuring
    workstations are organized, the proper storage of tools and materials.
  • Communicating with supervisors to ensure production timelines and quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • High school equivalent or vocational training.
  • Proven experience as a metal grinder/finisher or
    similar metalworking role.
  • Strong understanding of grinding machines and hand tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy metal parts.
  • Safety-conscious with a commitment to following safety regulations.
