THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a METEOROLOGICAL TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D1817000 and is part of the 174TH ATKW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

As a METEOROLOGICAL TECHNICIAN (GS-1341-09), you will provide meteorological services and weather observations and forecasts in support of world-wide Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to ensure mission effectiveness, resource protection, and flight safety. Performs duties necessary to accomplish Weather Flight Mission Execution Forecasts (MEF) including the collecting, analyzing, and forecasting of atmospheric and space environmental information and forecasts and the tailoring and communication of weather data that impacts all parts of the mission to include takeoff, route, target and landing.
