Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer
Summary
Builds and scales a Microsoft Fabric-based data lakehouse, creating ETL pipelines, semantic models, and Power BI reports to support enterprise analytics and AI initiatives.
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to help build, enhance, and scale the TRACK Data Lakehouse platform using Microsoft Fabric. In this role, you will design modern data architectures, develop scalable data pipelines, and support enterprise analytics, Power BI reporting, AI/ML initiatives, and Copilot data readiness. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and governed data solutions that drive business insights and innovation.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers of the enterprise Data Lakehouse architecture.
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric.
- Integrate data from multiple Dataverse environments and other enterprise systems.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes to support data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
- Create and maintain semantic models to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Support Power BI reporting by ensuring reliable and optimized data models.
- Enable AI/ML initiatives and ensure data readiness for Microsoft Copilot and advanced analytics.
- Monitor and improve data quality, governance, security, and platform performance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and developers to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Document data architectures, pipelines, and technical specifications while promoting best practices.
Professional & Technical Skills
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Hands-on experience with Lakehouse Architecture and modern data platforms.
- Proficiency in Power BI development and semantic modeling.
- Experience with Dataverse and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and Apache Spark.
- Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good to Have Skills
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads and analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot data readiness and AI integration.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services and Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Experience with enterprise-scale data engineering projects.
- Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data certifications are an advantage.
