Microsoft Fabric Specialist / Data Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain Microsoft Fabric data solutions.
  • Build data ingestion, transformation and integration pipelines.
  • Work with OneLake, Lakehouse and Fabric Warehouse .
  • Develop and optimise Data Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2 .
  • Use SQL and, where applicable, PySpark/Spark.
  • Develop data models and support Power BI/semantic models.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise data pipelines and workloads.
  • Ensure data quality, performance and reliability.
  • Translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
  • Work with data, BI and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, BI, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • Strong hands‑on Microsoft Fabric experience.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with OneLake, Lakehouse and Fabric Warehouse.
  • Experience with Fabric Data Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT and data warehousing.
  • Power BI experience.
  • Experience with Azure/cloud data platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and engage with stakeholders.

Certification – Essential

  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)

Advantageous

  • DP-203 Azure Data Engineer certification.
  • PySpark/Spark.
  • Azure Data Factory, ADLS or Synapse.
  • Data governance and security.
  • CI/CD and DevOps experience.
