Microsoft Fabric Specialist / Data Engineer
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Microsoft Fabric data solutions.
- Build data ingestion, transformation and integration pipelines.
- Work with OneLake, Lakehouse and Fabric Warehouse .
- Develop and optimise Data Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2 .
- Use SQL and, where applicable, PySpark/Spark.
- Develop data models and support Power BI/semantic models.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise data pipelines and workloads.
- Ensure data quality, performance and reliability.
- Translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Work with data, BI and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, BI, Data Analytics or a related field.
- Strong hands‑on Microsoft Fabric experience.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with OneLake, Lakehouse and Fabric Warehouse.
- Experience with Fabric Data Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT and data warehousing.
- Power BI experience.
- Experience with Azure/cloud data platforms.
- Ability to work independently and engage with stakeholders.
Certification – Essential
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)
Advantageous
- DP-203 Azure Data Engineer certification.
- PySpark/Spark.
- Azure Data Factory, ADLS or Synapse.
- Data governance and security.
- CI/CD and DevOps experience.
