We are seeking a dedicated Microsoft SQL Data Engineer / ETL Developer to help our clients harness their data assets effectively.
Salary: R30 000 to R60 000 per month.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and analyse complex business requirements to design and implement technology-enabled solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in analysis, planning, and design activities.
- Develop, modify, and evaluate high-complexity programs in line with specifications.
- Conduct quality reviews and walkthroughs of deliverables.
- Design and develop end-to-end data acquisition processes for data warehouses and data marts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship in business intelligence systems and ETL processes.
- Establish and support standards for data acquisition development.
- Create and execute complex ETL routines ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
Requirements:
- Extensive MS SQL Data Engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in SSIS and SSRS.
- Proficiency in requirement analysis and database design.
- Knowledge of source systems and dimensional data models.
- Skilled in database and data warehouse modeling.
- Programming experience in relevant languages for data staging and ETL development.
- Deep understanding of SQL and ETL tool capabilities.
- Attention to detail and pride in work.
- Relevant ETL and BI solution training.
- A B.Sc. or related degree is advantageous.
- 2+ years of programming experience.
- Familiarity with the following:
- Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
- Data Engineering
