Mid. Cloud Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Migrate multi-tiered workloads from on-prem to Samsung Cloud
- Implement new workload/service using Samsung private cloud
- Support requirements gathering for migration/implementation
- Test and implement cloud-based services to support ongoing cloud migration
- Develop and maintain secure and reliable cloud infrastructure (backup, monitoring and secure logging)
- Provide support for security policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Troubleshoot technical issues, including OS, Network level troubleshooting
- Own and manage cloud infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
Requirements/Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of cloud computing
- Experience with onsite to cloud migration assessment and implementation
- Worked and hands-on experience in cloud migration and in a multi-cloud environment
- Worked on data/DB migration
- Knowledge on cloud computing technology (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Advanced Linux scription skills (Bash, Python) and experience with administrator tasks on variety of Linux/Windows systems
- Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes(K8s) deployment and management.
- Experience with networking, compute infrastructure such as servers, database, firewall, load balance
- Knowledge of system monitoring, capacity planning and understand architecture principles across infrastructure platform
- Hands-on experience with administrator on variety of Linux/Windows systems
- Hands-on experience with cluster configuration (Windows, Linux)
- Must have OS/DB level trouble-shooting skill
- Deep understanding of the fundamental architectural differences and use cases among Block Storage, File Storage(NAS) and Object Storage
- Experience with information security practices and procedures
- Documentation skill using MS Office products.
- Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 30% of the time to meet client needs
