Mid Data Engineer (SAP BO)

Summary

Mid-level Data Engineer designs and maintains data models, builds SAP Business Objects Universes, and optimizes data pipelines for BI reporting.

We are currently looking for a Mid-Level Data Engineer to join a leading international organization within a large-scale Business Intelligence and Data environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain data models and database schemas.
  • Develop and optimize high-performance data pipelines.
  • Manage data migrations, releases, and deployments across multiple environments.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance SAP Business Objects Universes.
  • Implement user groups, profiles, and security restrictions within SAP BO.
  • Lead SAP Business Objects version upgrades and Universe migrations.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Support data infrastructure activities and contribute to continuous improvements.
  • Automate end-to-end deployment and release processes.


Technical Requirements

Mandatory

  • Strong experience with SAP Business Objects (SAP BO).
  • Experience creating and maintaining SAP BO Universes.
  • Good knowledge of database management systems such as: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Python, Power BI, Alteryx and Dataiku.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • English (Professional / Fluent)
  • French (Working proficiency is a plus)
