We are looking for a Mid-Level Cloud-Native Platform Engineer to bridge the gap between our core software development team and our customers' self-managed cloud environments. In this "Jack of all Trades" engineering role, you will not be doing day-to-day IT support or managing customer infrastructure; instead, you will package, adapt, and optimize our high-performance monitoring platform to run seamlessly natively inside modern containerized environments like Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift. Your mission is to ensure our monitoring agents can deep-dive into containerized workloads to collect metrics while spinning up internal test clusters to prove the architecture works flawlessly.

What you will do:

• Package, containerize, and optimize our existing monitoring application for reliable deployment in customer-managed Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift clusters.

• Write cloud-native code directly within our core application codebase (using Go, Python, or Java) to adapt our monitoring tools to auto-discover and monitor containerized infrastructure, pods, and microservices.

• Build and maintain production-grade Helm charts, Kubernetes Operators, or Kustomize configurations to make customer installation as painless as possible.

• Design and maintain internal test beds (using Minikube, Kind, or managed cloud Kubernetes) to simulate complex customer cluster topologies and run automated integration tests.

• Ensure container images are optimized, lightweight, secure (low vulnerability count), and capable of running under strict security contexts, such as non-root OpenShift SCCs.

What we expect from you:

• 3+ years of experience with a "Jack of all Trades" DNA: a solid software development background combined with a successful migration into the Kubernetes ecosystem, comfortable writing code, debugging network policies, and configuring container images in the same day.

• Deep Kubernetes and containerization expertise, extending far beyond basic kubectl commands to a strong understanding of K8s networking (CNIs), storage classes, security contexts, CRDs, and container runtimes.

• High proficiency as a developer in Go, Python, or Java, with a proven track record of writing robust, production-grade backend code.

• Proven enterprise experience packaging complex software for third-party deployment using Helm or Kubernetes Operators.

• A strong troubleshooting mindset, capable of diagnosing issues when an application behaves differently on a customer's private cluster compared to a local machine.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, specifically understanding its unique security constraints (Security Context Constraints - SCCs) and routing.

• Domain knowledge in monitoring, observability, and APM frameworks, including experience with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or eBPF.

• Active certifications in the ecosystem, such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer).
