Mid-Level Full Stack Developer l Hybrid

Job Description:

• Develop, maintain and improve web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js and NestJS.




• Build and maintain frontend components, REST APIs, backend services and database integrations.




• Take ownership of assigned product features from development through testing, deployment and post release support.




• Work closely with the Technical Lead during sprint planning, technical discussions and workload prioritisation.




• Follow established architecture, coding standards and development practices.




• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.




• Troubleshoot technical issues across frontend, backend, API and database layers.




• Collaborate with QA and DevOps resources during testing, release preparation and production support.




• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, implementation notes and API documentation.




• Apply secure coding practices relating to authentication, authorisation, input validation, API security, dependencies, secrets and data access.




• Use AI assisted coding tools such as OpenAI Codex, Claude Code or similar tools where appropriate, while independently validating generated code for accuracy, security and maintainability.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent commercial software development experience.




• 3 to 5 years of commercial software development experience.




• Strong experience with React.js and modern frontend development practices.




• Strong experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.




• Strong experience with Node.js backend development.




• Experience with NestJS or a similar structured Node.js framework.




• Experience designing, building and consuming REST APIs.




• Practical experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or other relational databases.




• Experience with ORM tools such as TypeORM or similar.




• Experience using Git and GitHub, including branching, pull requests and code reviews.




• Good understanding of secure coding practices and common web application risks.




• Ability to troubleshoot issues across the full application stack.




• Ability to work within an existing product architecture and follow agreed technical standards.




• Comfortable working in an Agile software development environment.




• Strong ownership, attention to detail and problem-solving capability.




• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-To-Haves:

• Industry experience in asset management, maintenance software, CMMS, EAM, fleet management, mining, construction or earthmoving.




• Experience with Python and data processing libraries such as Pandas.




• Experience working on B2B SaaS products.




• React Native development for Android and iOS applications.




• CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar.




• Docker, Kubernetes or other containerised development environments.




• Cloud hosting environments and deployment pipelines.




• Automated testing frameworks for frontend, backend or mobile applications.




• Familiarity with MCP, AI agents or AI-assisted development workflows.
