Summary
Fontainebleau Development is hiring a mid-level interior designer in Aventura, FL to take hospitality design projects from concept through installation — developing design concepts, producing AutoCAD drawing packages, creating SketchUp 3D models and presentations, sourcing FF&E, and coordinating with vendors, consultants, and contractors on site.
Mid-Level Interior Designer
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Interior Designer with 3–5 years of professional experience to join our design team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong design sensibility, excellent technical skills, and the ability to take projects from concept development through documentation and installation. Experience in hospitality design is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional interior design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is required
- Strong space planning and furniture layout skills
- Experience developing design concepts, presentations, and finish/material selections
- Ability to produce and review detailed construction drawings
- Knowledge of FF&E, specifications, and vendor coordination
- Ability to work on multiple projects and manage deadlines
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable collaborating with designers, architects, consultants, vendors, and contractors
- Hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or luxury residential experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with and develop interior design concepts
- Prepare floor plans, furniture plans, elevations, and design details
- Create 3D models and presentations in SketchUp
- Produce and coordinate AutoCAD drawing packages
- Research and source furniture, lighting, finishes, materials, and accessories
- Coordinate with vendors and consultants
- Review shop drawings and submittals
- Assist with project installations and site coordination as needed
- Maintain project schedules and design documentation
