We are at Coforge hiring for Mid Level Java Software Engineer with Java v.17, REST, JSON and SOAP, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Elastic Stack

Job Description

As a Mid Level Java Developer, you'll design and develop high-performance, high-availability services that ingest and deliver this data on a massive scale, directly enabling pricing, air shopping, ticketing, and merchandising across our platform. You'll bring deep Java expertise, a passion for clean and resilient distributed systems, and technical leadership to mentor others and shape how we modernize core capabilities spanning everything from modern offer orchestration to mission-critical systems like PSS and TPF.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, codes, tests and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing products,
  • Help design and code applications using routine and/or advanced technology,
  • Propose ideas to improve application performance and stability,
  • Encourage high coding standards, using best practices and high quality,
  • Attend status meetings and provide oral and written reports regarding work progress,
  • May take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hands on experience with Java v.17+ software development
  • Knowledge of REST, JSON and SOAP
  • Experience with tools like Git, Maven, Elastic Stack
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform)
  • Knowledge of cloud-based tech/languages, technology stacks (preferred GCP)
  • Good analytical skills
  • Team working skills, team player
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
  • Openness to learning and improving development processes as well as quality practices (e.g. smoke tests, acceptance tests, integration tests)
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to influence across product/engineering; excellent written design documentation.
  • Nice to have: Experience with static analysis and application security tools (e.g. SonarQube, Veracode)
