Job Description
Key responsibilities
- Draft tax opinions, memoranda, and consultations to support business areas;
- Monitor tax-related judicial and administrative proceedings, updating information and controls in the eLaw system;
- Prepare procedural and executive reports for reporting to leadership and business areas;
- Perform consultations, filings, and follow-up on requests via the e-CAC (Receita Federal), Regularize (PGFN) portals, and municipal tax administration systems;
- Monitor audits, summons, and other procedures before the Receita Federal, PGFN, and municipalities;
- Request, monitor, and analyze federal and municipal tax certificates, including Negative Debt Certificates (CND) and Positive Certificates with Negative Effects (CPEN);
- Research and monitor changes in tax legislation, with a focus on PIS COFINS and ISS, evaluating their impacts on the company;
- Attend meetings of industry associations and prepare materials on key impacts, trends, and opportunities for the company;
- Support strategic projects in the area, including initiatives related to Tax Reform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, with active OAB registration;
- Experience in Tax Law (Consultative and Litigation);
- Experience in monitoring administrative and judicial tax proceedings;
- Knowledge of the e-CAC (Receita Federal), Regularize (PGFN) portals, and municipal tax administration systems;
- Knowledge of federal and municipal tax certificates, including CND and CPEN;
- Knowledge of tax legislation applicable to service provision, especially ISS;
- Experience in drafting opinions, memoranda, and procedural reports;
- Advanced or fluent English (desirable).
Preferred qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Tax Law;
- Experience in a large company or law firm;
- Knowledge of Tax Reform (IBS, CBS, and IS);
- Experience in monitoring tax audits and responding to tax summons.
