Description

About the Role

Join a growing trust and estate litigation practice at an established Bay Area law firm. You will handle contested matters with increasing autonomy, work closely with experienced attorneys, and help develop the practice group.

What You'll Do

  • Handle trust and estate disputes, including will and trust contests, fiduciary duty claims, accounting disputes, and removal actions.

  • Represent trustees, executors, administrators, beneficiaries, seniors, and families in probate and financial elder abuse litigation.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy, legal research, briefing, and trial preparation.

  • Build direct client relationships and communicate with clients throughout matters.

  • Contribute to team development, including mentoring junior associates.

What We're Looking For

  • Four to six years of trust and estate litigation experience, including litigation of probate or trust disputes.

  • A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

  • Experience representing parties in contested trust or probate matters. This role requires litigation experience in the practice area, rather than a transactional or unrelated practice background.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with a reputation for integrity and collegiality.

  • A collaborative approach and interest in growing into a leadership role within a developing practice group.

  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid role based in San Mateo, California, with regular in-office presence.
