Description

About the Role

Join a growing trust and estate litigation practice at an established California law firm. You will handle contested matters with increasing independence, work closely with experienced attorneys, and help develop the practice group.

What You'll Do

  • Handle trust and estate disputes, including will and trust contests, fiduciary duty claims, accounting disputes, and removal actions.

  • Represent trustees, executors, administrators, beneficiaries, seniors, and families in probate and financial elder abuse litigation.

  • Work with senior attorneys on case strategy, legal research, briefing, and trial preparation.

  • Build direct client relationships and provide clear, thoughtful communication.

  • Contribute to team development, including mentoring junior associates.

What We're Looking For

  • Four to six years of experience specifically in trust and estate litigation, including contested probate or trust matters.

  • A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.

  • Experience as a litigator representing parties in trust and probate disputes, rather than a primarily transactional or estate-planning background.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • A collaborative, collegial approach and interest in growing into a leadership role.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid role based in San Mateo, California, with regular in-office presence.
