We’re looking for a Senior Backend / Infrastructure Engineer to own the backend and infrastructure foundation this whole thing runs on.

This is a Cebu-based role. You must be located in Cebu or able to reliably commute to Cebu City.

What you’ll actually be doing

You’ll lead backend development with a heavy focus on infrastructure, scale and reliability. Day to day that looks like:

• Designing, building and maintaining scalable backend services that sit under live AI phone systems.

• Owning the big infrastructure calls — cloud, containers, orchestration, networking, deployment, monitoring, security.

• Building for real-time performance where latency and uptime genuinely matter.

• Making systems observable, resilient and ready for serious scale.

• Sharpening deployment workflows, CI/CD pipelines and developer experience so the whole team ships faster.

• Defining backend architecture and the engineering standards we build on.

• Debugging gnarly production issues and making the platform more robust every week.

• Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders and engineers — shipping fast without cutting corners.

What we’re looking for

• 3–5+ years professional software engineering experience.

• Strong backend development in real production environments.

• Substantial hands‑on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure).

• Solid grasp of containers and container orchestration.

• Experience on products used at meaningful scale — ideally 100k+ monthly active users.

• Good understanding of distributed systems, APIs, databases, networking, queues, caching and reliability.

• Comfortable with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging and alerting.

• The instinct to dig into deep technical problems and come out with a more robust system.

• A genuine ownership mindset — you can run with autonomy and don’t need hand‑holding.

We’re not after someone who knows how to click around one cloud console. We want someone who understands how systems work under the hood and likes getting their hands dirty building infrastructure that scales.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes, ECS, Cloud Run, Docker, Terraform, Pulumi or similar.

• Event‑driven systems, background jobs, queues, workflow orchestration.

• High‑volume API platforms or SaaS.

• AI, LLM, voice, automation or agentic systems.

• Security, compliance and infrastructure hardening.

• Startup or scale‑up experience.
